The Georgia Guidestones stood for 42 years (1980-2022) on a hilltop in Elbert County, Georgia. Funded by an unidentified party using the pseudonym "R.C. Christian." Within 11 hours, the county had demolished the remaining damaged stones and bulldozed the site to bare earth. They cited "safety concerns."
